My name is Adam Hamze. I'm an international relations and Middle Eastern studies senior at the University of Texas at Austin, focusing on journalism. I've written for the Huffington Post, VICE News, The Houston Chronicle and elsewhere. A fluent speaker, reader, and writer of Arabic, my work revolves around race, culture, politics, foreign policy, and social justice. I help run UT's poetry organization, Spitshine, and my poems have been published in Offing, Vinyl, Radius, and Winter Tangerine, as well as accepted to the 2016 RAWI Arab Writers' Conference in Minneapolis.
